Cloudsaver is a cloud management startup in the area of Financial Operations, or "FinOps."
I supported a 12-person development team. We used rapid iterations to create new finance and accounting applications. We created tools for our clients to visualize their resources, calculate costs, extrapolate needs, and deploy or plan their financial operations.
I performed detailed requirements gathering from stakeholders, including clients. I'd create sketches, prototypes, and workflows and use those to discuss ideas for features and enhancements.
I created clickable prototypes in Figma with the goal of helping our development team to build quickly and efficiently and also meet our business goals.
I built and maintained our Style Guide and Component library. I also maintained a user story queue of UX enhancements that our developers could pick up as their bandwidth allowed.

I was selected for a UX contract project for the Amazon Fulfillment division to see if UX can improve two goals: reduce employee turnover and improve warehouse task speed/accuracy. I shadowed warehouse operations, used realtime data, and conducted employee interviews at warehouse locations.
From this work, I identified and made 22 recommendations with supporting screen and "real world" mockups to achieve their goals. If implemented, it's estimated that I could save the work equivalent of 135 full-time positions each year across the entire division.

Lead Product Designer and UX person for Epiq Discovery, one of the leading software suites in the legal industry, which is used by lawyers to capture, sort, filter and present documents in legal cases - which lawyers call "discovery."
In some cases, there may be over a billion documents - emails, PDFs, attachments, presentations, contracts, and more and they all need to be indexed and sorted to determine relevancy. I found and suggested ways to speed up that process, including incorporating AI and advanced information visualization techniques.
I maintained our Style Guide library and worked to created standard components that sped up our development time. I took our business requirements and user stories and designed brand new screens and workflows, often starting with white board team exercises among stakeholders, followed by wireframes and prototypes.
Epiq closed my business division as part of their pandemic response and laid off their staff, unfortunately.
